In the 2020 documentary This Is Paris, Paris Hilton revealed how she continues to have nightmares about being kidnapped from her bed at 16 and taken to Provo Canyon School. “To this day I am still traumatized,” she said. Hilton claimed she’d been medicated against her will, and was forced, nude, into solitary confinement when leadership found out she’d stopped taking the meds. She has since joined others who allege similar abuses to advocate to reform teen-care facilities. “I think the only way to have these nightmares stop is to do something about it,” she said in the doc. The school changed ownership in 2000 (after Hilton attended) and has said confinement and medication are not used to discipline students.
