Past Times inside home editions, available at office

- From staff reports

The 2012 edition of Past Times, the Rome News-Tribune’s and News Publishing Co.’s award- winning history magazine, is inserted in today’s home- delivered newspapers.

This year’s Past Times, “The Road to Secession,” is the first installment in a three- year series that will explore the American Civil War in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama.

The 60-page magazine includes locally written stories and historic photographs from the period leading up to the votes for secession in Georgia and Alabama, and how that vote played out in Floyd, Gordon, Polk, Catoosa, Walker and Bartow counties in Georgia and Cherokee County in Alabama.

Rome News- Tribune subscribers will receive a copy of “The Road to Secession” in their Sunday paper. It will not be available in single-copy sales racks or at newsstands.

As in the past, non- subscribers may purchase individual copies of Past Times for $5 plus tax each from the Rome NewsTribune, 305 E. Sixth Ave.

Mailed copies cost $8 each. Call 706-290- 5200 to arrange for mailing. Readers may also buy and download an electronic version at Pressdisplay.com after Sept. 2 for the single-copy price of $ 5. Click on the e- edition icon on our home page at RN-T.com.
