Local firm announces certification achieved
Mark L. Busby, CFP, of Coosa Valley Financial Group and Southern Financial Consultants in Rome, has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board) to use the Certified Financial Planner and CFP certification marks in accordance with CFP Board certification and renewal requirements. Busby was one of the co-founders of Coosa Valley Financial Group in 2009 and is associated with Southern Financial Consultants. Coosa Valley Financial Group provides property and casualty insurance, individual and business tax preparation and accounting services.
The CFP marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP certification examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits and estate planning. CFP professionals also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold CFP board’s code of ethics and professional responsibility, rules of conduct and financial planning practice standards.
Casey Wright joins Floyd Healthcare Foundation
Casey Wright has joined Floyd Healthcare Foundation as the Donor Relations Coordinator. She will assist with all giving plans and work with foundation employees, board members and donors in an effort to raise funds to further the mission of Floyd health care system. She will also take an active role in SPIRIT, Floyd’s employee giving program.
Floyd Healthcare Foundation works to improve the health of the community by developing relationships and raising funds to build and support programs and services that meet identified needs and further its mission.
Wright earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nonprofit management from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala.
Before coming to Floyd, she was the volunteer coordinator with the Auburn University College of Agriculture’s Community Garden Program in Auburn, Ala., and the after-school enrichment program coordinator with the YWCA of Central Alabama in Birmingham, Ala.
