club will meet today at noon at Red Lobster on Shorter Avenue. The club’s district governor, Leslie Miller from Jasper, will be the speaker.

The Rome Art Coterie will meet today at 6 p.m. in the Oostanaula Room of the Rome-Floyd County Library on Riverside Parkway. Artist Larry Locklear will present a program highlighti­ng the numerous styles and techniques he uses in his multimedia work. “Steampunk Larry,” as he is known in some circles, is a local artist who promises an interestin­g program along lines that are not mainstream. The Rome Art Coterie meets the second Tuesday of every month. All artists and art lovers are welcome and do not have to be a member to attend the free program.
