SOUTH CHAPEL Mary Jo Moore
Mrs. Mary Jo Moore, age 77, of Lindale, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at a local hospice facility.
Mary was born on July 30, 1939 in Rome, Ga., daughter of the late John Roberson and the late Gladys Roberson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Roberson and Myrtle Wilson, and by a brother, Johnny Roberson. Mrs. Moore was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheryl Clark, Rome, and Ponda Freeman, Rockmart; two sons, Jerome Mincey, Rome, and Marlin Mincey, Tennessee; three sisters, Jean Sliauter, Fayetteville, Ga., Dean Parker, Calhoun, and Helen Roberson, Richmond, Texas; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Norris Sexton officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from
9am until the time of the service at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. At other hours, they may be contacted at their respective residences.
The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers and are asked to assemble at the funeral home at
10:30 a.m. on Saturday and include: Johnny Willis, Tony Kimsey, Cody Moore, Kevin Fuqua, Colby Pope and Danny Shedd.
Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the funeral arrangements.
MONDAY
Enrollment for RomeFloyd Parks and Recreation’s Spring Break Camp, taking place at the Anthony Center at 2901 Garden Lakes Blvd., is now open. The camp will run from Monday to Friday. Drop-off times begin at 7:30 a.m. and pickup is no later than 6 p.m. The camp is for children ages 5-14 and costs $100 per child. Camp Anthony is also offering nine weeks of summer day camps from May 30 through July 28. Each camp has a different theme and a field trip, and costs $100 per child for each week. Lavender View Garden
Club will meet Monday at 11 a.m. at the Rome Federated Garden Clubs Garden Center. Veterans will meet Monday at Brookdale Senior Living Solutions, 180 Woodrow Wilson Way. A 6 p.m. meeting will follow dinner at 5 p.m.

Laughercize Class will meet Tuesday from 4:305:30 p.m. at the Charles C. Parker Center, 1325 Kingston Road. All ages and abilities are invited to participate in the free classes.
The AARP Driver Safety Class will be offered Tuesday from 9 a.m. until

The Church Bowling
League will begin its 15th year of competition at Classic Lanes on Huffaker Road with the organizational meeting for the spring-summer season on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the lanes. Representatives from churches as well as all interested persons are invited to attend for information and to register teams or singles. A team consists of four bowlers.
