The Porcelain Art Guild will meet at Paula Baker’s Studio today at 10 a.m. Anna Nichols will present the workshop, “Designing and Building Orchids from Porcelain Clay.”

One Community United will hold its quarterly meeting today at 6 p.m. at North Broad Baptist Church. Free dinner will be provided, and donations are welcome. All who wish to bridge local difference­s are welcome.

Animal Rescue Foundation will sponsor its second annual Car and Truck Show today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ollie’s in West Rome next to Sonic. While the show will be free for attendees, there will be a $20 entry fee for each vehicle for show. Categories are pre-1950s, pre1970s and late model (anything newer

The Hospitalit­y House Thrift Store Boutique’s semiannual halfprice sale ends today. Look for the gray tag on sale items. The store at 610 Shorter Ave. is open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. today. The nonprofit store supports the abused women and their children at Hospitalit­y House for Women.
