Billy Gene Spriggs

Mr. Billy Gene Spriggs, age 64, of Rome, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, at his residence.

Mr. Spriggs was born in Rome, Ga. on November 14, 1952. He was preceded in death by his parents, Syble Smith Brunni and Russell Brunni, by his biological father, Bill Spriggs, and by a sister, Tina Spriggs. Prior to his becoming disabled, he was employed with P. S. E. Construction here in Rome. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Diann Wilson Spriggs, Rome; four daughters, Joy Perez, and her husband, Andy, Lubbock, Texas, Teresa Kines, Rome, Rane Voils, and her husband, Tyson, Rome, and Kim Wilson, Rome; three sons, Tracy Spriggs, and his wife, Jennifer, Rome, Blu Wilson, and his wife, Kip, Douglasville, and David Wayne Chamblee, and his wife, Tamra, Huntsville, Ala.; three sisters; seven brothers; 24 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 4 p.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Kelley and the Rev. Shane Maynor officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 2 p.m. until the service hour. At other times, they may be contacted at the residence.

Pallbearers are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. and include: Tracy Spriggs, Randy Warren, Blu Wilson, Keith Hulsey, Andy Perez, Robert New, Chris Godfrey, and Hank Hoerchler.
