The Friends of the Library will be sponsoring a special 2017 springtime Paperback Book Sale in the Oostanaula Room of the Rome-Floyd County Library on Riverside Parkway. The sale will be open April 26-27 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and April 29 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All regular-size paperbacks will be 25 cents or 5 for a $1. All oversize paperbacks will be 50 cents or 3 for a $1. All proceeds benefit the library and support the Friends of the Library. The 27th annual Up the Creek Trail and Century Ride will be held April 29. Early registrati­on will be held April 28 from 2-6 p.m. at Cycle Therapy, 27 Central Plaza. Holiday, the city of Rome’s public excursion boat, is offering public tours at 2 p.m. the first Sunday of each month through September.
