EASTER SUNDAY CHURCH SERVICES

First Christian Church, 209 E. Second Ave., will have an Easter Sunday service today at 11 a.m.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3000 Garden Lakes Blvd., will have a 9 a.m. Easter breakfast followed by a 10 a.m. Easter egg hunt and a 10:30 a.m. celebratio­n of the Resurrecti­on of Jesus Christ.

Metropolit­an United Methodist Church, 700 Broad St., will hold a children and youth Easter program today at 11 a.m. For more informatio­n call 706-291-8660.

Mount Berry Church will host its annual Easter Sunset Service at 7 p.m. tonight at the House of Dreams. The Mount Berry Church worship team will start the night off with musical worship and Berry’s chaplain, the Rev. Jonathan Huggins, will deliver the sermon. Because of limited parking at the House of Dreams, shuttles will be leaving the Frost Chapel parking lot at 6:30 p.m. All guests are asked to park at Frost and take the shuttle to the House of Dreams. In the event of rain, the service will be moved to Frost Chapel.

Mt. Alto Baptist Church, 1915 Huffaker Road N.W., will present the musical “Power of the Cross” today at 10:30 a.m. New Hope Overcoming Church of God, 200 Nixon Ave., will hold a communityw­ide Easter Sunday sunrise service beginning at 7 a.m. today. The Rev. Robert Carson Pastor of New Zion Baptist Church will be the preacher for the service.

Rome First United Methodist Church, 202 E. Third Ave., will hold an Easter sunrise service today at 6:45 a.m. in the Rome First UMC Courtyard, accessed through the Wilder Center. Two other services take place at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. For more informatio­n call 706-291-8590.

Second Avenue United Methodist Church, 801 E. Second Ave., will hold its Easter Sunday service today at 11 a.m.

Silver Creek Presbyteri­an, 6 Old Rockmart Road SE, will hold a community Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. today. A pancake and sausage breakfast will follow in the fellowship hall. There is a stair chair for those needing assistance. An 11 a.m. Easter service will take place in the church sanctuary.

St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 42 Ash St., will hold an Easter Holy Communion today at 9:30 a.m. followed by a parish egg hunt. Childcare will be provided. For more informatio­n call 706-506-1241.

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 101 E. Fourth Ave., will offer an Easter Sunday services of Holy Eucharist today at 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. in the church with breakfast and an Easter Egg Hunt between services. A service of Holy Eucharist in Spanish will take place today at 5 p.m. in the chapel.

Transfigur­ation Episcopal Church, 304 Coker Drive, will hold an Easter Sunday service with Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. with a luncheon after the service.

Wesley Chapel Church, 1425 Old Dalton Road,

will have an Easter sunrise service today at 7:30 a.m. The regular worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. For more informatio­n call 706-3463024.

Westminste­r Presbyteri­an Church, 1941 Shorter Ave., will hold an Easter Sunday sunrise service today at 7 a.m. in the West Center back parking lot. Participan­ts should bring lawn chairs and blankets. An Easter breakfast will follow the service in the West Center. An 11 a.m. service will also take place with special music in the church sanctuary. Lund will preach about “Fearless Living/ Faith.”

West Rome Baptist Church, 914 Shorter Ave., will hold Easter Sunday services today at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

West Rome United Methodist Church, 1003 Shorter Ave., will hold a Resurrecti­on Sunday service today at 11 a.m. The sermon title is “Raised from the Dead” and the text will be Matthew 28: 1-10.
