Entertainm­ent company owner is indicted on child molestatio­n charge

A Rome man was indicted on an additional sex charge relating to an August 2015 incident involving a 14-year-old girl.

A Rome man was indicted on an additional sex charge relating to an August 2015 incident involving a 14-year-old girl. The Floyd County grand jury indicted Dean Arce on a child molestatio­n charge during the April 21 session. He is also charged with felony aggravated child molestatio­n and enticing a child for indecent purposes.

Arce was originally arrested in October for felony rape, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and misdemeano­r possession of drug-related objects, drugs not in original container and giving a false name to an officer. He is accused of posing as a photograph­er and drugging then raping an unconsciou­s woman.

The grand jury indicted Arce in January on the rape charge. Arce was the owner and operator of Community Entertainm­ent Solutions, LLC, which he touted as a full-service media firm.

He is being held without bond.

Man accused of cutting his mother with a knife

A Lindale was indicted on an aggravated assault charge for allegedly attacking his mother with a knife and leaving a deep cut on her left wrist, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail records: Paul Mitchell Chastain was arrested in March and charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault.

He is being held without bond at the Floyd County Jail.
