DEATH NOTICE

Jean Lenora Kinsey, 81, died Aug. 21, 2017. Salmon Funeral Home has charge of the arrangemen­ts.

Mrs. Jean Lenora Kinsey, age 81, died Monday, August 21, 2017, at the home of her daughter, Angela Trammell, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Kinsey was born August 29, 1935 in Rome, Ga., daughter of the late Dennis J. Singleton and Pearl E. Ray Singleton. Until retirement Mrs. Kinsey had been associated with Bonton’s in Rome as a sales associate. Mrs. Kinsey was a member of Mount Paran Church of God and was an accomplish­ed artist and avid gardener. She had an abounding love for animals and supplied shelter and care for many of God’s abandoned creatures.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kinsey was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd H. Kinsey, in 1990.

Survivors include a daughter, Angela Trammell, of Rome; two stepsons, Kerry Kinsey, of Florida, and Danny Kinsey, of Virginia; two granddaugh­ters, Megan Grisham (Garrett), and Olivia Trammell, both of Rome; two great-grandsons, Tucker and Levi Grisham; sister, Martha McDurmont, of Rome; special friend, Phil Trammell. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held Friday August 25, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Carl Sidwell Chapel of Salmon Funeral Home with Dr. Talmadge Barnes and the Rev. Les Walker officiatin­g.

The family will receive friends Friday from noon until the funeral hour. At other hours they may be contacted at their respective residences.

The family respectful­ly asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributi­ons be made to Heyman Hospice, 420 East Second Avenue, Rome, Ga. 30161.
