PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT — The first Rome Pickleball Classic will be today through Sunday at the Thornton Recreation Center featuring players from across the state in singles, doubles and mixed doubles divisions. Matches will begin at 4 p.m. today, 8 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday. Spectators are welcome and admission is free.

SENIOR ALL-STAR GAMES — The fourth annual NWGA Tip-Off Club Senior All-Star Games will be March 15 at the Floyd Campus of Georgia Highlands College. High school seniors from across the region will participat­e in the exhibition games, with the girls’ game starting at 6 p.m. and the boys’ game scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5.

PRESCHOOL SOCCER CLASSES — Rome YMCA Arsenal is presenting Lil’ Gunners preschool soccer classes this spring. Each session introduces soccer through games and activities. The first session of four classes begins March 15 with a second session starting April 19. The cost is $25 for YMCA members and $40 for non-members, and includes a team shirt and medal. Classes meet at Grizzard Park on Thursdays from 5-5:35 p.m. and are limited to 15 participan­ts. For more informatio­n contact the YMCA at 706-232-2468. BERRY VOLLEYBALL CAMPS — GRIT Volleyball Camp at Berry College is hosting a series of clinics and camps this summer. All clinics and camps focus on developing and refining specific skills through repetition­s and learning strategies that will increase volleyball IQ. Clinics on specific skills will be held June 1-2, while day camps for all skills are scheduled for June 4-6 and 27-29.
