The Berry Singers will have a pre-tour concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Berry College Chapel, Berry College, 2277 Martha Berry Highway. Works originally conducted by Austrian composer Franz Herzog and American composer Mark Popeney and historic works by Johannes Brahms and Antonin Dvorak will be performed along with folk songs. Berry College Director of Choral Activities Paul Neal will conduct. The event is free and open to the public.
Floyd County CASA will hold a CASA 101 volunteer information session on Tuesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Oostanaula Room at the Rome-Floyd County Library, 205 Riverside Parkway. The session will include information about the application process, the training and the case support provided to each volunteer. MULTIDAY EVENTS
Floyd County Juvenile Court is seeking volunteers to serve as Citizen Review Panel members. After the initial two-day training, this is a once-a-month commitment. Volunteers will meet families with whom the Division of Family and Children Services is involved. The parties go over the case plans to measure progress and make recommendations to the judge.
