The Atlanta Falcons will hold a free youth football camp for boys and girls ages 6-14 on today from 6-8:30 p.m. at Barron Stadium, 300 W. Third St. Participan­ts will learn proper tackling technique and a variety of football fundamenta­ls through drills led by former Atlanta Falcons players. The Up the Creek bike ride will be this Saturday at the Forum River Center. Riders will roll out at 8 a.m. with the option of four different road routes going north into the county: 32, 53, 71 and 104 miles. Habitat for Humanity Coosa

Valley is accepting applicatio­ns for the “A Brush with Kindness” program. The program assists homeowners in Floyd County by painting and performing minor repairs on the exterior of their homes. The homeowner repays the cost of the materials and supplies through a nointerest loan. Applicatio­ns may be picked up at the ReStore, 95 Three Rivers Drive. There is a $10 fee for a background check. Homeowners will be required to make a 10-percent down payment on the estimated cost of the project.
