Friday, June 15

1208 N. Fifth Ave., Veliz Auto, RPD – Joan Reyes reported someone made forced entry into the business and stole money and several other items. Estimated cost of damage is $3,750.

Saturday, June 16

844 Wayside Road, FCPD – James Crooker reported someone used his credit card informatio­n to make fraudulent purchases. Estimated cost of damage is $321.

35 and 36 Ervin Coker Road, FCPD – West Mathis reported someone cut and stole 100 feet of phone lines from the incident location. Estimated cost of damage is $3,500.

351 Wayside Road, FCPD – Tina Watts reported someone stole several items from her porch. Estimated cost of damage is $150.

8 May St., RPD – Kearrie Heath reported someone made forced entry into her residence and stole several items. Estimated cost of damage is $1,530.

Sunday, June 17 1 Government Plaza, Parking Deck, RPD – Beaux Alexander Birdsell reported someone entered his vehicle and stole a knife and a cell phone case. Estimated cost of damage is $45. 1050 Cartersvil­le Highway, Mapco, RPD – Marshall D. Kennamer reported two females stole two cases of beer from the store. Estimated cost of damage is $31.

2510 Redmond Circle, Walmart, RPD – Justice Samone Chambers reported someone stole her groceries while at the store. Estimated cost of damage is $30.

Tuesday, June 19

809 Maple Ave., RPD – Dena Gay Dennis, Rome Taxi Company reported a male did not pay for his fare. Estimated cost of damage is $22.

702 S. Broad St., RPD – Willie Johnson reported someone stole his bicycle. Estimated cost of damage is $100.

1600 Turner McCall Blvd., Pet Land, RPD – Chris Scruggs reported a male stole a cat from the store. Estimated cost of damage is $1,600.

Wednesday, June 20

1120 Calhoun Ave., RPD – Martha K. Stone reported a male stole her money and other personal items while at the store. Estimated cost of damage is $303.

Thursday, June 21

S. Broad Street at Etowah Terrace, RPD – Shalene Vicente reported three males did not pay for their fare. Estimated cost of damage is $17.

S. Sycamore Street at Oakland Avenue, RPD – Arnoldo Vicente reported two males did not pay for their fare. Estimated cost of damage is $21. The following is a one-day snapshot of the inmate population being housed in Floyd County Jail, 2526 New Calhoun Highway N.E., Rome, by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office. The population varies each day.

This list also shows the number of Floyd County inmates loaned out to other facilities because of various medical problems or because they are juvenile offenders. Some inmates awaiting trial are denied bond, while others have a bond, but have not been released because they are considered a flight risk or they are unable to make bond. City prisoners are those individual­s arrested by Rome Police.

Figures listed as “other” reflect the number of adult inmates being held because they violated a juvenile court order, inmates awaiting appeal, those who have been arrested on warrants issued by other counties or states and are awaiting pickup, as well as those being held on federal charges.
