CALENDAR HIGHLIGHTS

The Ridge & Valley Storytelling Guild will host A Time to Tell: A Time for Adult Storytelling on July 2 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Oostanaula Room at RomeFloyd County Library, 205 Riverside Parkway. Share a story or listen to others tell theirs. For more information email TerrellShaw@me.com.

Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden, 200 N. Lewis St., Summerville, will host Paradise Garden Art Camp July 9-13. A morning session for ages 7-13 will be held from 9:30 a.m.noon daily and an afternoon session for ages 10-13 will be held from 1–3:30 p.m. daily. Students will learn about the art of Howard Finster along with other artists and explore art fundamentals through drawing, painting, mixed media and working with recycled objects. Each student leaves with 3 to 4 finished pieces. All supplies are included. Students bring their own snacks and drinks. A student art show will be held July 13 from 5-5:30 p.m. for students and their parents and friends. Cost is $75 for members, $90 for nonmembers.
