Man, woman charged with having stolen car
A Floyd County couple charged with being in a stolen car were in jail Sunday night with no bond set.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Jordan Winn Bryant, 35, of 20 Rome Road in Cave Spring, was driving a stolen car when police stopped him Saturday afternoon at Hi-Tech Fuel, 4428 Martha Berry Highway.
He was served with three misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear in court and charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property.
Summer Dae Hamilton, 27, of 4 North Terrace in Lindale, was riding in the car that police said she knew or should have known was stolen. She also was charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property.

Stop was in jail Sunday night with no bond.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Jarvis Dreion Caldwell, 28, of 320 Forsyth St., entered a residence on East 20th Street and took the console, then took it to the store at 1422 Turner McCall Blvd. and sold it for $126.40. He was arrested at Game Stop Saturday afternoon.
Caldwell is charged with felony first-degree burglary and the misdemeanors theft by conversion and theft by receiving stolen property. He’s also facing a felony charge of failure to appear in court.
He’s also charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass under a warrant issued after a May 20 incident where he punched the passenger-side window of a woman’s car, causing it to crack in several places.
Man facing drug charges after arrest at local hotel
A Floyd County man arrested with drugs at a local motel was in jail Sunday night pending a $3,500 bond.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Jimmy Dale Hunter, 40, of Room 217 in the Pine Crest Motel, 3153 Martha Berry Highway, was arrested Saturday and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects.
Report: Garden Lakes man had meth
A Garden Lakes man arrested by Lake Tom was in jail Sunday night on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Police found DL Smith, 51, of 3428 Huffaker Road, with a bag of suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe containing residue.
Smith is charged with felony meth possession and misdemeanor possession of a drug-related object.
4 jump Summerville man, steal $50
Rome police are investigating the strong-arm robbery of a Summerville man outside a convenience store in South Rome.
According to Rome Police Department reports:
Officers were called Saturday evening to Floyd Medical Center, where the 24-year-old man was being treated for his injuries. He said four young men assaulted him outside Chuck’s Corner, 200 S. Broad St., and stole $50 in cash from him.
