For Aug. 2:
Whole broiler/fryer prices are steady to weak. Supplies are moderate to available for current needs. Retail and foodservice are light to moderate. Floor stocks are generally balanced. Market activity is slow to moderate. In the parts structure, boneless skinless breasts, bone-in breasts and tenderloins are steady to weak; wings are mixed. The market on dark items is barely steady to weak. Offerings of breast items are moderate, wings are mixed. Dark item offerings are moderate. In the Western region drums are noted as the most active. In production areas, live supplies are moderate at mixed but mostly desirable weights.
