Beautiful will meet Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Sam King Room, Rome City Hall, 610 Broad St. Dessert, tea and water will be provided, but bring your own lunch. Rome Seven Hills Rotary will meet at noon on Tuesday at Coosa Country Club, 110 Branham Ave. Claudia Hamilton of Living Proof Recovery will be presenting. Guests are welcome. The Kiwanis Club of Rome will meet from noon-1 p.m. on Tuesday at Bella Roma Grill, 770 Braves Blvd. Julie Smith, Community Relations Coordinator with Rome City Schools, will be discussing Habitudes, a program currently in place at Rome Middle School. The Southern Cruisers
Riding Club is seeking new members. Rides take place twice a month in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama and most are less than 500 miles. The club meets every third Wednesday monthly for dinner to discuss upcoming rides. All makes and models motorcycles welcome. No dues or commitments. The Rotary Club of Rome will host Kirk Jarrard addressing the tax reform of 2018 on Thursday at noon at Coosa Country Club, 110 Branham Ave. The League of Women Voters-Floyd County will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Daniel Hall, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 101 E. Fourth Ave. Political scientist Dwight Cassidy will be speaking about women in politics and there will be updates on the Board of Elections meeting.

The Three Rivers Singers will open their concert
season with “Three Great American Composers: Copland, Gershwin and
Bernstein” today at 4 p.m. at Heritage Hall, 415 E. Third Ave. The concert is part of “Leonard Bernstein at 100,” a two-year global celebration of the life and career of the 20th-century composer. Music Director Len Willingham will lead and pianist Joan Hill will accompany. While admission is free, donations will be appreciated and are tax-deductible. THURSDAY
Berry College, 2277 Martha Berry Highway, will host the 2018 High School Choir Festival and Concert at 4 p.m. on Thursday in the Ford Dining Hall. Associate Professor of Music Paul Neal and Assistant Professor of Music Stefanie Cash will be leading the choirs. Berry students will join in the final performance. This event is free and open to the public. The Rome Fire Department Hydrant Crew will be flowing all hydrants located on Shorter Avenue and Martha Berry Boulevard on Thursday. Businesses and residents in the area may open an outside water line the night before to help clear the water faster. Hospitality House will hold a candlelight vigil in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Rotary Plaza behind the Forum River Center, 301 Tribune St. Participants will hear from a local survivor and honor the lives of those lost last year to domestic violence in Georgia.
