$5K re­ward of­fered in case of guns stolen from Can­ton store

CAN­TON — The Bureau of Al­co­hol, To­bacco, Firearms and Ex­plo­sives and the Na­tional Shoot­ing Sports Foun­da­tion are of­fer­ing a $5,000 re­ward for in­for­ma­tion about guns stolen from a Ge­or­gia store.

The At­lanta Jour­nal-Con­sti­tu­tion re­ports each or­ga­ni­za­tion is of­fer­ing $2,500 for in­for­ma­tion that leads to a con­vic­tion in the Wed­nes­day theft from a Can­ton firearms store. ATF agent Arthur Per­alta says in an agency state­ment that firearms traf­fick­ing is a se­ri­ous of­fense that can re­sult in sig­nif­i­cant fed­eral prison time.
