Ar­muchee man fac­ing as­sault charge af­ter fir­ing gun in home

An Ar­muchee man ac­cused of fir­ing mul­ti­ple gun­shots at his home was in jail with­out bond Sun­day night.

Ac­cord­ing to Floyd County Jail records:

Ja­cob Noah Goss, 26, of 1465 Turner Road, was ar­rested late Satur­day night and charged with felony ag­gra­vated as­sault, ter­ror­is­tic threats and acts and the mis­de­meanor reck­less con­duct.

Goss is ac­cused of fir­ing sev­eral shots at around 10:30 p.m., putting a woman in im­me­di­ate dan­ger.

Re­port: Pro­ba­tioner had hid­den meth

A Cedar­town woman is fac­ing an ad­di­tional felony drug charge af­ter her ar­rest on a pro­ba­tion vi­o­la­tion war­rant.

Ac­cord­ing to Floyd County Jail records:

Eve­lyn Rachael Gar­lin, 27, of 1381 Doyle Road in Cedar­town, is charged with felony pos­ses­sion of metham­phetamine.

Gar­lin re­port­edly tested pos­i­tive for meth in Septem­ber and failed to show up for a court-or­dered pro­gram, Deputies serv­ing a war­rant for pro­ba­tion vi­o­la­tion found a small bag of sus­pected meth hid­den in her bra.
