den Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. to­day at the home of Ma­bel Mil­ner, who will present a copy of the book “Seek­ing Eden” by Mary Ann Eaddy and Stacy Ca­tron to the Friends of the Li­brary. The book cov­ers his­toric gar­dens in Ge­or­gia. A brief busi­ness meet­ing will be held and light snacks will be served, fol­lowed by lunch at a lo­cal restau­rant. League, will in­stall of­fi­cers for 2019 at their break

Com­man­dant Tom Beavers will an­nounce the De­tach­ment’s “Ma­rine of the Year” and present ser­vice awards. the Kelsey-Ay­cock-Bur­rell Cen­ter, 41 Wash­ing­ton Drive. Tex­tiles by Junco Sato Pol­lack through Jan. 31. The ex­hibit show­cases tex­tiles from an on­go­ing se­ries started in 2006 and in­formed by Pol­lack’s stud­ies of Eastern spir­i­tual philoso­phies, Chris­tian­ity and New Eng­land Tran­scen­den­tal­ism. Pol­lack is a na­tive of Ja­pan and as­so­ciate pro­fes­sor emerita at Ge­or­gia State Uni­ver­sity, At­lanta. The gallery is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon­dayFri­day.
