Berry Col­lege, 2277 Martha Berry High­way, will host Berry Col­lege Bass Days

Rome will host Jeff and Mary Mar­garet Mauer speak­ing about Restora­tion Rome and Rome’s foster care pro­gram at their noon meet­ing on to­day. den Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. to­day at the home of Ma­bel Mil­ner, who will present a copy of the book “Seek­ing Eden” by Mary Ann Eaddy and Stacy Ca­tron to the Friends of the Li­brary. The book cov­ers his­toric gar­dens in Ge­or­gia. A brief busi­ness meet­ing will be held and light snacks will be served, fol­lowed by lunch at a lo­cal restau­rant. League, will in­stall of­fi­cers for 2019 at their break

fast meet­ing at 8:30 a.m. Satur­day at Pis­gah Bap­tist Church, 5603 Alabama Road. The church’s Brother­hood mem­bers will serve break­fast. Com­man­dant Tom Beavers will an­nounce the De­tach­ment’s “Ma­rine of the Year” and present ser­vice awards. the Kelsey-Ay­cock-Bur­rell Cen­ter, 41 Wash­ing­ton Drive. All mem­bers are asked to at­tend.

Western Prom­e­naders Square Dance Club, 327 Woods Road, will host an Open House Ex­trav­a­ganza at the Barn with free, in­tro­duc­tory, Western­style square dance lessons on Satur­day, Jan. 19 and Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. each evening. Tex­tiles by Junco Sato Pol­lack through Jan. 31. The ex­hibit show­cases tex­tiles from an on­go­ing se­ries started in 2006 and in­formed by Pol­lack’s stud­ies of Eastern spir­i­tual philoso­phies, Chris­tian­ity and New Eng­land Tran­scen­den­tal­ism. Pol­lack is a na­tive of Ja­pan and as­so­ciate pro­fes­sor emerita at Ge­or­gia State Uni­ver­sity, At­lanta. The gallery is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon­dayFri­day. The artist will speak on Jan. 27 at 5 p.m. The Sal­va­tion Army So­cial Ser­vice Cen­ter, 317 E. First Ave., is col­lect­ing
