Berry Col­lege, 2277 Martha Berry High­way, will host Pixar co-founder Ed Cat­mull speak­ing about cre­ativ­ity at 8 p.m. on Feb. 21. Cat­mull is pres­i­dent of Pixar & Walt Dis­ney An­i­ma­tion Stu­dios and Dis­ney­toon Stu­dios and has been hon­ored with five Academy Awards in­clud­ing the Gor­don E. Sawyer Award for his life­time of tech­ni­cal con­tri­bu­tions and lead­er­ship in the field of com­puter graph­ics for the mo­tion pic­ture in­dus­try. A be­gin­ner’s line dance

class will be held at the Charles Parker Se­nior Cen­ter, 1325 Kingston High­way, on Tues­day from 6-7 p.m. This will be the first in a 10-12 week se­ries of classes. Cost is $2 per per­son. All ages wel­come. The Rome TEA Party will hold their Lunch Bunch meet­ing Tues­day from noon-1 p.m. at Fud­druck­ers, 595 River­side Park­way. The meet­ing will be a plan­ning ses­sion to dis­cuss ral­lies, marches, part­ner­ships and GOP mass meet­ings and con­ven­tions. Come early to or­der lunch. ed­u­ca­tional classes about men­tal ill­ness. Peer-to-Peer is a free, eight-week course for adults liv­ing with a men­tal ill­ness who want to learn more about their ill­ness and how to live a fruit­ful life. Love­joy Bap­tist Church will host “A Prom­ise to

Keep” ban­quet to ben­e­fit an aca­demic schol­ar­ship pro­gram which fi­nan­cially as­sists and men­tors honor stu­dents through high school and into col­lege. This year’s event will be held Tues­day at 6 p.m. at Love­joy Bap­tist Church, 436 Bran­ham Ave. Doors open at 5 p.m. Ticket prices are $45 for adults and $35 for stu­dents and se­niors, 62 and over.
