Broiler/Fryer: National Broiler Market at-a-Glance For Sept. 5:
Whole broiler/fryer prices are steady to weak for all sizes. Offerings are moderate to heavy. Retail and food service demand is light and unaggresive approaching the weekend. Dealers continue to track hurricane developments. Floor stocks are balanced to instances heavier than desired. Market activity is slow to moderate. In the parts structure, wings are steady to instances firm, tenderloins are steady and the balance of white and dark items are steady to weak. Supplies of wings are light, tenderloins light to moderate, balance of white and dark items moderate to moderately heavy. Market activity for parts is slow to moderate. In production areas, live supplies are mostly desirable weights.
