Broiler/Fryer: National Broiler Market at-a-Glance

For Feb. 13:

Whole broiler/fryer prices are mostly weak. Offerings of all sizes are readily available and competitively priced to increase interest. Demand into all channels is light to moderate for late week business. Floor stocks are balanced to at times heavy. Market activity is slow to moderate. In the parts structure, tenders range steady to firm. Breast items are mostly steady, but wings and mostdark meat cuts are steady to weak. Offerings of tenders are light,all other breast items are sufficient and dark meat is moderate to heavy. Market activity for parts is slow to moderate. In production areas, live supplies are moderate. Weights are mixed, but noted as mostly desirable.
