Report: Rome man had cocaine when deputies served stalking warrant
A Rome man remained in jail Thursday after being charged with felony possession of cocaine and aggravated stalking.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Floyd County Sheriff’s Office deputies were serving arrest warrants for Charles Rashun Echols, 28, when they found a plastic bag of cocaine and a scale on top of his refrigerator, sitting on his wallet.
Back in January, Echols posted sexually explicit pictures of a woman on Facebook as a way to harass her. Multiple people saw the post, the report stated.
Echols is also charged with the misdemeanors prohibited nude or sexually explicit electronic transmissions and possession of drug-related objects.
Man charged with aggravated stalking
A Rome man remained in jail Thursday without bond on a probation violation after being arrested on a felony aggravated stalking charge, reports stated. According to jail reports: Bobby Ray Milstead, 40, violated a court order to not contact a women by riding in a car with her.

A Rome man is charged with felony second-degree criminal damage to property after he broke the window of a 2017 Chevrolet Impala with a small table, reports stated. According to jail reports: Clarence Cornelius Neal Jr., 24, was arrested on a warrant charging him with committing the offense in January at a home on Cherry Street. The same day, Neal hit the owner of the car in the back of the head with a gun.
Neal is also charged with misdemeanor pointing a gun at another person and battery. He was released from jail Thursday on a $5,700 bond.
Teen charged with battery, child cruelty
A 17-year-old who reportedly punched a 14-year-old in the face was released from jail Thursday on a $5,700 bond. According to jail reports: Jason Michael Battaglia, 17, ran to hide in the woods when he realized police were approaching the residence on Park Road.
He is charged with misdemeanor battery and obstruction, as well as felony firstdegree cruelty to children.
Report: Dallas woman brought drugs into jail
A Dallas woman charged with felony meth possession and crossing the jail guard line with drugs was being held Thursday night with a bond set at $5,700. According to jail reports: Ashley Lee Smith, 30, obstructed a police officer during an arrest at John Maddox Drive and was found with a syringe containing meth. Smith then gave a false name and date of birth to officers.
When she was brought to Floyd County Jail, she was found with more meth.
Smith is charged with misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement, possession of drug related objects and two counts of giving a false name and date of birth to officers.
