Report: Silver Creek man shot person in the throat with B.B. gun

Rome man reportedly found with marijuana, charged with intent to distribute

A Silver Creek man remained in jail with no bond Wednesday after Rome police officers arrested him at Sumo Japanese Steak House on an aggravated assault charge. According to Floyd County Jail reports: Ronald T.J. Adams Jr., 30, of Silver Creek, pointed a pellet or B.B. gun and shot a person in the throat, leaving a mark.

A Rome man is charged with misdemeano­r marijuana possession and felony intent to distribute after Rome-floyd Metro Task Force officers executed a search warrant at his residence on 11th Street, reports stated. According to Floyd County Jail reports: Donald Edward Rogers, 35, had less than an ounce of marijuana at his house, as well as baggies and scales.

He was released from jail on a $5,700 blanket bond Wednesday.
