Floyd man charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment
A Floyd County is accused of threatening a woman with a knife and not allowing her to leave his Doc Moore Road home, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Toby Keith Johnson, 25, of Silver Creek, is accused of grabbing a woman by the throat late Monday and choking her in an effort to prevent her from leaving the residence. Johnson is also accused of attempting to damage the woman’s phone to prevent her from calling for help.
Johnson is charged with a felony probation violation, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, terroristic threats and acts and misdemeanor battery.
Woman accused of abandoning child,
leaving state
A woman was arrested at a location of Cliffview Drive after allegedly abandoning a child and leaving the state, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Katrina Faye Johnson, 33, with a listed home address of Monterey, Georgia, is charged with felony abandonment of a dependent child and the misdemeanors disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers.
Police say Johnson attempted to damage a person’s vehicle and obstructed police who were called to the location on Cliffview Drive Monday evening to investigate the situation.
Traffic stop leads to drug charges against
Florida woman
A traffic stop by Floyd County police resulted in a felony drug charge against a Florida woman, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Sandra Dee Darden, 40, was pulled over late Monday near the intersection of Booze Mountain and Reeceburg roads. Police found two open containers of alcohol in the vehicle along with meth.
The woman admitted to having lived in Floyd County
for over a year and was driving on an expired Florida license.
Darden is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug-related objects, driving without a license, failing to maintain a lane, an open container violation and operation of an unregistered or unlicensed vehicle.
