The Ridge Ferry Park Farmer Market will not move from its regular location Saturday morning because the cross-country meet it had planned to accommodate has been canceled. The 14th District Republican Party will hold a rally from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 29, at Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, 1400 MLK Jr. Blvd. featuring candidates for office across the Northwest Georgia district.

Floyd Against Drugs in partnership with a host of local agencies and organizations will mark International Overdose Awareness Day with a butterfly release at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at the Rome Clocktower.

The City of Rome invites citizens to a public forum on the River District Streetscape from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Courtyard Rome River Walk, 320 W. Third St.
