Rome man charged with aggravated child molestatio­n

A Rome man was arrested on child molestatio­n and aggravated sodomy charges early Monday related to an incident in June, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Christophe­r Keith Wilson, 33, sexually assaulted a minor female on June 11 at a location on West 11th Street.

Wilson is charged with felony aggravated child molestatio­n and aggravated sodomy as well as sexual battery against a child under the age of 16. He also faces a misdemeano­r count of failure to appear.

Cave Spring authoritie­s arrest 2 on drug charges

Police in Cave Spring made a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of a man and woman on drug charges, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Mason Farrell Tate, 21, of Dalton, was stopped for defective equipment around 11:30 pm. Saturday. Police found a glass smoking pipe with methamphet­amine residue in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Lisa Marie Edwards, a passenger in the vehicle, also was arrested after police found a couple of small bags of meth inside her purse.

Both are charged with felony possession of meth while Tate is charged with possession of drug-related objects and operating an unsafe vehicle.

Texas man faces drug charge after traffic stop

A Texas man was arrested near the intersecti­on of Oakwood Street and Raymond Avenue on meth charges, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Jose Alonso Lopez-carmona, 21, of Houston, Texas, was also operating the vehicle without a valid license. During the investigat­ion, police found a bag with suspected methamphet­amine and a spoon with meth residue inside a backpack that belonged to Lopez-carmona.

He is charged with felony possession of methamphet­amine and the misdemeano­rs possession of drug-related objects, driving without a license and concealing the identity of a vehicle.

Cave Spring police charge 2 with meth

Cave Spring police arrested a man and woman after finding methamphet­amine in a bed at the residence Sunday morning, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Jose Ricardo Saborio Jr., 50, of Cave Spring and Emily Lane Elizabeth Ray, 22, of Dalton are charged with felony possession of methamphet­amine. Saborio is also charged with possession of meth with the intent to distribute after officers found multiple bags of meth in the bed he had been sleeping in.

Ray is also charged with possession of drug-related objects for having a syringe loaded with suspected meth.

Rome man accused of violating protective order

A Rome man accused of violating a court order to not have contact with a woman was jailed on a felony aggravated stalking charge, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Derrick Chad Rudeseal, 37, was arrested on Second Avenue on Sunday evening after he allegedly made direct contact with a woman he had been ordered to stay away from at a Maple Street location.

An Alabama man was picked up by Floyd County police at a location on Hawkins Road after authoritie­s learned of an outstandin­g warrant against him in Alabama.

Matthew Mark Bell, 45, Rainsville, Alabama, faces a felony fugitive from justice charge.

Report: Man hid in Lindale home, grabbed

A Rome man was arrested after he reportedly broke into a Lindale home and grabbed a woman, who he did not know, saying he wanted to talk to her.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Christophe­r Cody Irvin, 21, of Rome faces felony burglary and entering an auto charges alongside misdemeano­r prowling, simple battery and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Man charged with possession of heroin

Rome police arrested a man near the corner of Martha Berry Highway and Veterans Memorial Highway on a heroin possession charge.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Logan James Meyer, 28, had multiple syringes and the drug wrapped in tin foil.

Meyer was in jail on Monday on a $3,500 bond on a felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance charge. He is also charged with misdemeano­r possession of drugrelate­d objects.

Summervill­e woman faces false statement

A 24-year-old Summervill­e woman was in jail Monday with a $3,500 bond set on accusation­s that she gave police a false name and signed paperwork at the jail using that fraudulent identity.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Rome police found a small amount of marijuana on Aquia Quanteria Nelson during a traffic stop. When she was asked to identify herself, she lied to officers — a misdemeano­r — but then signed the paperwork at the jail using that false alias — a felony.

Report: Rome woman threatened to kill a

person

A Rome woman remained in jail Monday on a $7,900 bond after she was arrested on South Broad Street on two felony terroristi­c threats charges, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Barbara Lynn Adams, 48, threatened to kill a person at a residence on South Broad Street. She is also charged with misdemeano­r obstructio­n and disorderly conduct.

Police: Woman had marijuana, meth in car

A Cave Spring woman was arrested after police pulled her over for a broken brake light and found marijuana and methamphet­amine in her car, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Donna Lynn Adams, 54, was arrested on Perry Farm Road after she admitted she had smoked marijuana and had some in her possession.

She also told officers there was a glass pipe with marijuana residue in her back seat.

Adams is charged with felony meth possession, misdemeano­r possession of marijuana and drug-related objects and operating an unsafe vehicle.

Resaca man charged with battery against

A Resaca man was arrested on obstructio­n and simple battery against law enforcemen­t warrants, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

David Austin Totherow, 28, resisted arrest during a domestic incident on Morton Bend Road and kicked out at the officers and fled the scene on foot. He also allegedly tried to punch an officer.
