Report: Man struck wife, chased grandson with a knife

A Lindale man faces a felony aggravated assault charge on accusation­s that he chased his grandson with a kitchen knife Wednesday, reports stated.

According to Floyd County jail reports:

Danny W. Robinson, 61, was arrested at his Park Avenue home after striking his wife repeatedly because he told police “he could not get her to shut up.” He remained in jail on a $11,200 bond Thursday.

Police: Man choked his wife

A woman reported that her husband attacked and choked her on Wednesday afternoon at their Dean Avenue residence, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Marlin Jermaine Johnson, 46, faces felony aggravated assault and misde

meanor battery charges under the Family Violence Act. Johnson remained in jail on Thursday without bond.

meth possession

Floyd County police arrested a 38-yearold man near Maple Road and Old Lindale Road on meth charges early Thursday, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Daniel Ray Casson remained in jail Thursday on a $5,700 bond on a felony meth possession charge as well as misdemeano­r possession of drug-related objects and a safety belt citation.

Woman faces methamphet­amine,

shopliftin­g charges

A Rome woman was arrested Wednesday on charges that she had a baggie of methamphet­amine in her purse in December, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Amanda Nichole Roland, 40, faces felony shopliftin­g and meth possession charges as well as a misdemeano­r possession of a drug-related object charge.

She was released from jail Thursday on a $5,700 bond.
