If interested in a pets featured, call PAWS at 706-236-4537 to sign up for a trial adoption. Whenever animals can’t be interacted with at the PAWS facility, they can instead be taken home to learn more about their personalit­y.

ADOPTION FRIENDLY HOURS:

The animals below are at Public Animal Welfare Services (PAWS — FKA Floyd County Animal Control — and are looking for good homes.

The center is at 99 North Ave. in Rome, just off North Broad Street. The facility is open to the public Monday through Friday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. PAWS is closed Saturday and Sunday.

The adoption fee for is $40 for dogs and $35 for cats.

Persons adopting pets are responsibl­e for the cost of rabies shots and spaying or neutering. Proof of the actions are required.

After-hours emergency callers should dial 911.

PAWS answers calls anywhere in Floyd County.

Animals which have been picked up or brought to PAWS may be available for adoption or recovery. Animals are housed by the agency at least three days before they are euthanized.
