MORROW, Geraldine Sandifer

Mrs. Geraldine “Gerri” Sandifer Morrow, age 74, of Rome went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, April 1, 2022. Gerri was born in New Orleans, LA on November 8, 1947 to the late Eddie Sandifer Sr. and the late Ernestine Sandifer. She was preceded in death by brothers; Eddie Sandifer Jr. and Stanley Sandifer, sisters; Yvonne Sandifer Allen and Antionette Sandifer.

Gerri was a graduate of George W. Carver High School and attended Southern University New Orleans (SUNO). She was baptized at the Law Street Baptist Church in New Orleans at a very young age.

Gerri and her husband MRLQHG 6SULQJ¿HOG %DSWLVW Church in Rome on March 20, 2011. They were also co-owners of Pakmail Center of America, a shipping/packing franchise in West Rome for 21 years.

She had the kindest, purest heart, and smile which most everyone gravitated toward. In addition, she was a part of many organizations and shared her time with One Community United, NAACP, North Rome Youth Center. She was an outstanding cook and chef served as Deaconess, usher, and memEHU RI WKH ¿QDQFH FRPPLWWHH DW 6SULQJ¿HOG %DSWLVW Church.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Larry G. Morrow Sr., two sisters; Eloise Sandifer, Kennesaw, GA and Barbara Robertson, New, Orleans, LA. Four children; Larry G. Morrow, Jr. (Tracey), Pearland, TX, Vivian “Tina” Johnson, Ellenwood, GA, Geric O. Morrow (Kelli), Acworth, GA and Mia M. Morrow, Rome, GA., one grandson; Larry G. Morrow III (Brittney) Pearland, TX, four granddaughters; Alexis D. Morrow, Pearland, TX, Morgan B. Morrow, The Woodlands, TX, Darian and Maleya Morrow, Acworth, GA., two godchildren; Mignon Alexander Ray, New Orleans, LA and Morgan Woods, Kennesaw, GA. A devoted niece who stayed by her side from beginning to end; Tara A. Scott, Rome, GA. She is also survived by other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9,2022 at 12 noon at Greater Christ Temple RPC, 1321 ML King Jr Blvd. with the Reverend Bryant T. Steans RI¿FLDWLQJ
