- MERRITT, Wayne Daniel

Mr. Wayne Daniel Merritt, age 78, of Armuchee, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Merritt was born in Marietta, Georgia on October 6, 1943, son of the late J. T. Merritt and the late Aileen Morgan Merritt. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Lockhart. Mr. Merritt worked for many years as a builder/contractor prior to becoming a poultry farmer. He was a member of the Atlanta Carpenters Local Union #225. He was a member of Redemption Church in Calhoun, formerly Calhoun Assembly of God, and enjoyed spending time hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Marie Merritt; ¿YH FKLOGUHQ 5XVVHOO :D\QH Merritt and his wife, Rachael Johnson Merritt, Richard Howard Merritt and his wife, Delaura Anne Merritt, Ronald Dale Merritt and his wife, Toni Nicole Merritt, Crissy Shan Beshearavr­aham and her husband, Tomer Avraham, and Blake Donovan Merritt and his wife, Haley Porter Merritt; eighteen grandchild­ren; eleven great grandchild­ren; three sisters, Irma Williams, Gwen Tritt, and Beverly Watt; two brothers, Gerald Merritt and Marion Merritt; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 11am in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel. Pastor &DU\O 0DUWLQH] ZLOO RI¿FLDWH

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Sunday from 4 until 7pm.

Pallbearer­s will include Zachry Merritt, Jessica Merritt who is standing in for her husband, TSGT Ryan Merritt, Georgia Air National Guard, who is on deployment, Brandon Merritt, Joshua Merritt, Hayden Merritt, and Dane Alford.
