The Rome African Violet Study Group will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Federated Garden Center, 100 E. Eighth St. The program will be on watering methods and the PH of water.

A new 10-week beginner Line Dance Class starts Friday, Feb. 3, from 10-11 a.m., at the Charles C. Parker Senior Adult Center on Kingston Highway. All ages. Cost is $2 per class, card only, no cash. The Rome affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness will hold their two nationally recognized classes on mental illness starting Sunday, Feb. 5, at the NAMI Rome trailer in Rome. The classes are free. Registration is required. Call NAMI Rome at 706506-5010 for more information.

The Floyd County Republican Party will hold their mass precinct meeting on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 10 a.m. at the Charles Parker Senior Center, 1325 Kingston Highway, to elect delegates and alternates to the county convention in March. All Floyd County registered voters who align with the principles of the local party are invited to attend.

Animal Rescue Foundation of Rome-floyd County will host their 11th Annual Spay-ghetti Dinner fundraiser from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Rome Senior Center, 406 Riverside Parkway.
