MCDANIEL, Linda Joyce

Linda Joyce Mcdaniel, 79 passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

Linda was born on August 15, 1943, to the late John (Buddy) and Margaret Ozel Bearden. Her sisters are the late Fannie Mae Mcdaniel, Owens (Idus and Charles), and survived by Becky Rosser (Hugh) of Alabama.

Linda married the love of her life, Buck Mcdaniel, on July 30, 1960. They had four sons. Ladon and wife Vickie Mcdaniel, John AKA: Jonboy and wife Melissa Mcdaniel, Kirt and wife Sonya Mcdaniel, Craton Wade AKA: P~nut and wife Betty Mcdaniel. They remained married until Vinis Craton (Buck) passed away on April 18, 2011. She was survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Linda loved her family and friends very much and cherished every single visit, phone call and gathering. Her family and friends were always welcome in her home, she cherished them as they were an important part of her life.

Linda was no stranger to hard work. She worked at the former Galey & Lord as a Quality Control Checker for 30 years, until the mill closed. She was a hard-working woman and loved her mill sisters (Brenda Autry and Mary Casey) and many others she worked with throughout the years. Linda also worked at Wal-mart until she retired. She lived in the same house for over 40 years and took great pride in her home, making sure that visitors feel a sense of warmth, safety, joy and comfort. She loved to work in KHU \DUG SODQWLQJ ÀRZHUV mowing her grass and keeping her yard immaculate. She ORYHG JRLQJ ¿VKLQJ 6KH DOVR loved spending all the time she could with her family and friends. Linda will be greatly missed by everyone that crossed her path.

The family will hold a visitation on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 6:00PM8:00PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will take place Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 2:00PM. Following Interment at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Pastor 6DP +RRSHU ZLOO EH RɤFLDWING.

Pallbearers included. John Mcdaniel (son) Kirt Mcdaniel (son), Craton Lee Mcdaniel (grandson), Dakota Mcdaniel (grandson), David Mcdaniel (grandson), Stevie Eubanks (grandson). Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry Mcdaniel, Buddy Rosser and Lavon Owens.
