- From staff reports

The Rome Braves’ offense had a tough night on the road as it was unable to capitalize in big situations and was shut out in a 2-0 loss to Bowling Green on Wednesday.

Bowling Green (20-23) was also held scoreless until the seventh before it got RBIS from Blake Robertson and Gionti Turner to make the difference in the close game.

Fresh off South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week honors Monday, Braves starter Daniel Martinez continued his strong pitching as of late with five shutout innings. He only allowed three hits while striking out six in a no-decision.
