Reports: Garden Lakes man had 61 fentanyl pills

A Garden Lakes man is facing felony drug possession charges following a traffic stop on Glen Milner Boulevard for failure to maintain his lane, police reports state.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Gerald Lamar Daniel Sr., 31, is charged with felony possession of fentanyl pills with intent to distribute and possession of fentanyl. Police found 61 pills in a pill bottle for a different prescripti­on medication.

He is further charged with misdemeano­r DUI, driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain lane and pills not in original container. Daniel remained in jail without bond as of Thursday.

PRISON INMATE CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION

A former inmate at Floyd County Prison is facing charges stemming from a bust in November 2022 when he was found with meth, a small amount of marijuana, cigarettes and 4 lighters in his pants leg while on a work detail, reports state. According to jail reports: Dalante Raheem Stevenson, 26, is charged with felony possession of 27.5 grams of meth, possession of items prohibited by the warden and misdemeano­r possession of marijuana. Stevenson was sent to the jail to face the charges after his release from Ware State Prison.

He was being held without bond as of Thursday.

FLOYD COUNTY MAN FACING METH CHARGE

A Floyd County man is facing charges after informing an officer Wednesday night on Wilshire Road that the crystal-like substance in his possession was, in fact, meth, reports state. According to jail reports: Alvin Travis Burnette, 50, is charged with felony possession of meth. He is being held on $5,700 bond as of Thursday.
