Bellbrook

-

Bellbrook Senior Community has been a part of the Rochester/ Rochester Hills neighborhood for 32 years. You may remember us as “Mercy Bellbrook” or more recently “Sanctuary at Bellbrook,” but through the name changes and rebrands, our vision, mission and compassionate care for seniors has not waivered. For those of you that recognize the name but ask yourself what we do, we can help define that for you! Bellbrook provides Independent Living, Assisted Living,

Memory Care and Short-term Rehabilitation services.

In 2020, starting with Coffee with A Cop on March 11, we will be hosting events to invite all of you reading this to visit Bellbrook and see firsthand how it really is where neighborhood becomes family. On April 15th at 2:00pm, members of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra will be performing in our Great Room. May 7th vendors will set up to give you a place to shop for Mother’s Day, while enjoying delicious snacks provided by our very own Dining Services Team!

Coffee with a Cop is our first neighborhood event, and we are so excited to invite Sheriff Michael Bouchard and Chief Steven Schettenhelm, along with their teams from the Oakland County Sherriff’s Office and the Rochester Police Department to have coffee and donuts. Bellbrook residents will be attendance, but we will also welcome the local community in for this special visit. Being a senior living community, we often work with local emergency response teams, as they are great resources to ensure that we have the best emergency preparedness plans in place. Of course, they are always quick to respond and support in the event that we have an emergent situation arise at the community. The partnership and reliability that the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and the Rochester Police Department provide for Bellbrook Senior Community make our colleagues, residents and families confident that Bellbrook is a safe and secure place to live!

When we called the offices to talk about the idea of “Coffee with a Cop,” they both gave us an immediate and resounding “yes.” With the busy schedules that they keep, we cannot express our gratitude for their commitment to making sure they are accessible to local businesses and of course, local residents, to nurture those relationships. Bellbrook follows guiding behaviors that we use in our daily work, and we have found a direct relationship with both of these police forces and how the align with how we operate. For example, “Justice: We foster right relationships to promote the common good, including sustainability of Earth” and “Integrity: We are faithful to who we say we are.” Another direct correlation that helps us relate so well is our patient center care, focus.

While Bellbrook provides a homelike environment focused on the body, mind and spirit of each individual, the services provided by our local sheriff’s office and police department are also person-centered. We all recognize the importance of making people the reason behind our actions and decisions, and we will continue to provide opportunities for Oakland County residents to live life to the fullest, while feeling protected by honest and dedicated leaders. We look forward to welcoming you to Bellbrook on March 11th to meet these inspirational teams that work so hard to protect and serve every day!
