Holly Area School District millage renewed until 2032

A millage renewal and increase for the Holly Area School District was approved with 57% of the vote.

A total of 8,834 people voted in favor of the proposal with 6,426, or 42%, against.

The school district will see its operating millage of 17.9 mills ($17.90 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) stay in place from 2023 to 2032. A separate millage increase of .5 mills will also be added to the tax rolls from 2021 to 2032, which will be used as further operating funds.

The district is expecting to collect about $4.3 million from the millage in 2021.
