AAGESEN, LARRY KENNETH Larry Kenneth Aagesen, age 78, of Pinckney, Michigan, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Larry was born on September 1, 1942 in Flint, Michigan to parents Kenneth and Clara (Goodman) Aagesen and was raised in Grand Blanc, Michigan with his younger sister, Carole. After graduating from Grand Blanc High School, Larry attended Michigan State University and received a bachelor’s degree in geology. He relocated to the Ann Arbor area after being accepted to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Following graduation and post-graduate training, Larry began his orthodonti­cs practice in the Rochester and Bad Axe areas. While practicing, Larry also published articles in profession­al orthodonti­cs journals and received a U.S. patent for an orthodonti­c appliance of his invention. In the community, Larry was a member of Rotary Internatio­nal and Christ Church Cranbrook. After retirement, Larry enjoyed spending time at his home in Rochester until moving to Pinckney to be closer to his family on Portage - ing, travel, and watching sports, especially University of Michigan football. However, his greatest joy came from the bond of friendship he shared with his children and watching his grandchild­ren grow while spending time with them. Larry will be missed deeply by his children, Leisa Klein, Larry (Melissa) Aagesen Jr., and Matthew (Andrea) Aagesen; his grandchild­ren, Alix Klein, Nicholas Aagesen, Payton, Ella, and Charlotte Aagesen; his sister, Carole (Tom) Cuthbertso­n; and his nephew and niece, Jeff (Karen) Cuthbertso­n and Lynn Nowicki. In honor of Larry’s wishes, private cremation services have taken place. A memorial service in celebratio­n of Larry’s life will be held in Rochester in springtime at a date to be determined. METZ, MARK Mark Steven Metz, 65, a longtime resident of Royal Oak, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2020 at Beaumont Hospital after a long battle with several illnesses. Mark was a sweet and gentle guy who was a dedicated employee of Rite Aid in Royal Oak for 20 years. Mark had many friends and admirers and always greeted people with a smile and a kind word. Mark was a huge fan of R&B and Motown music. His favorites included Diana Ross and The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, and Whitney Houston. He also enjoyed doing imitations of his favorite actresses such as Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, and Tallulah Bankhead. His humorous and loving nature was infectious and could not be beat. His family and friends will miss him greatly. Mark is survived by his brother Teddy Dean (Lisa) Metz of New Boston, New Hampshire and his baby sister Lynda Marie (Serge) Vladimirof­f, of Portland, Maine. Niece Tashina (Jim Roy) Metz of Manchester, New Hampshire, nephew Teddy Michael (Jamie) Metz of New Boston, New Hampshire, as well as great nieces Kieran and Ava, and great nephew Noah. His loving Mother, Lynn Metz of Royal Oak, and dear brothers, Gerald and Bobby, preceded him in death. Private party will be decided at a later date. Beloved wife of the late Jack Seaton. Dear companion of Jim Cunningham; loving mother of Pam (Tad) Magruder, Sandy Waterbury, Julie (Marcus) Merrell and Tim Seaton and the late Teri Popier; beloved grandmothe­r of Mandy (Steve) Pallozzi, Nicholas Coombs, Greg Magruder, Kristin Nayak, Jori (Dan) Crumm, Andrew Winiecke, Kylie (Sam) Hernandez, Markie (Zac) Newberry, Jessica Seaton, James Seaton and Shilo Mclinden; great grandmothe­r of 11; dear sister of David (Bernadette) Bilger, Dawn Hankins, Jeff Laatsch and the late Jerry (Roberta) Laatsch. Mary loved her family more than anything. She loved the Lord and attended The River Church. Graveside Service Monday at 12:30 p.m. at All Saints Cemetery (4401 Nelsey Rd., Waterford).
