No injuries reported in Christmas Eve house fire

A Rochester Hills family was able to escape a house along with their pets after a house fire early the morning of Thursday.

The Rochester Hills Fire Department received a call around 5:45 a. m. to the house on Hickory Lawn.

Two adults and two children were able to escape the fire, along with a dog and a bird. They were out of the house when firefighte­rs arrived.

Firefighte­rs were able to extinguish the fire with hoselines. According to the fire department, the fire appears to be confined to the outside of the home, with minimal damage to the exterior.

Neither the residents nor the firefighte­rs were injured in the fire.

A damage estimate is not available at this time.
