A 30-year-old man was charged Tuesday with three counts of indecent exposure after being arrested at a Rochester Hills Meijer store days earlier. Sheriff’s officials say they want to hear if anyone has “been a victim of (his) behavior int he past.” David Dexter Watkins, of Pontiac, was arraigned on the charges at the 52-3rd District Court in Rochester Hills, jailed on a $15,000 bond. He is accused of exposing his penis to three women at the Meijer store off Adams Road near M-59 in the late morning of Saturday, Jan. 2. One of the women said it occurred in the store, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office reported. Deputies found the suspect, and the women confirmed it was him.

“Deputies obtained store video surveillance which showed the suspect exposing his penis in various parts of the store to females,” the sheriff’s office reported. “Watkins was lodged at the Oakland County Jail.”

Besides the current charges, Watkins was also detained on outstanding warrants for alleged resisting and obstructing police, driving with a suspended license, driving without a license on their person, and a registration violation. If he posts bond, Watkins was ordered to not have contact with the store or the victims. He could face up a year in jail on the new charges, if convicted.

He will be in court again on Feb. 3 in front of District Judge Nancy Carniak. The sheriff’s official also asked that any other potential victims of this crime call them.
