Vehicle windows smashed in thefts

Windows were smashed out of three vehicles parked at L.A. Fitness, 25352 Woodward Ave., on Monday.

Someone stole documents, cash, and credit cards from a Royal Oak man’s Chevy Malibu, a Berkley man’s GMC Acadia, and a Porsche owned by a Detroit woman.

The woman didn’t realize her window was broken until she drove away and noticed the cold air and noise coming into the vehicle’s interior.

Police said a man had already used the woman’s bank debit card at a Meijer store in Detroit by the time the theft was reported.

Surveillance video at the store showed the man was wearing a face mask, hat, hooded sweatshirt and traveling in a Buick Rendezvous.

Four days earlier, someone stole a man’s $200 Apple AirPods from his belongings while he was playing basketball at L.A. Fitness.
