WSO, Michigan Philharmon­ic honor troops with concerts

The Warren Symphony Orchestra’s kicks off its 49th season with “Made in America,” a patriotic show celebratin­g American composers, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts in Clinton Township.

The show, featuring 11 compositio­ns, will be directed and conducted by Gina Provenzano. Tickets are $23 for adults, $20 seniors, $10 for college students and free admission offered to K-12 students and military veterans. The Michigan Philharmon­ic will also host a tribute concert, “A Veterans’ Tribute — Our American Heroes,” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov.
