Gardner White named in ‘2022 Best Places to Work in Furniture’

Gardner-White Furniture Company, Inc. was recognized as a “2022 Best Places to Work in Furniture,” a national competitio­n by Furniture Today magazine, according to a press release.

Gardner White was one of 10 winners selected. The Auburn Hills-based furniture and mattress retailer was also named a Best Places to Work winner in the magazine’s 2021 competitio­n.

“This extraordin­ary recognitio­n belongs to each of Gardner White’s 1,000 team members,” said Rachel Stewart, president of Gardner White.

“Companies selected for recognitio­n in Furniture Today’s Best Places to Work program undergo a rigorous vetting process that evaluates a wide range of employee benefit and engagement programs, including detailed surveys of employees themselves,” Bill McLoughlin, editor in chief of Furniture Today, said in the press release.

Gardner White has been family-owned and operated for 110 years and now has 12 stores in metro Detroit, Ann Arbor and Saginaw. The retailer partners with numerous nonprofit organizati­ons including the Salvation Army and Toys for Tots as well as homeless and women’s shelters.
