2 shot in Southfield

Two people were shot Thursday night in a car as they traveled on 10 Mile Road in Southfield, officials said. The victims are a Detroit woman, who was shot in her left leg, and a Dearborn Heights man, who was shot in his right arm and lower left thigh, according to the Southfield Police Department. Both were transported to an area hospital by a crew from the Southfield Fire Department with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, police said. The shooting happened at approximately 11:15 p.m. in the area of 10 Mile and Greenfield roads. The suspected shooter is known to one of the victims, police said.
