Fort My­ers Beach Fourth of July ( July 4, 10am) Fes­tiv­i­ties kick off with a pa­rade up Es­tero Boule­vard and wrap up with one of the re­gion’s most spec­tac­u­lar fire­works shows, be­gin­ning 15 min­utes af­ter sun­set at the Fort My­ers Beach Fish­ing Pier. The cel­e­bra­tion goes on through the day as restaurant­s, lounges and other venues step up the fes­tiv­i­ties with mu­sic. Sani­bel ( July 4, 9: 30am) En­joy an old­fash­ioned home­town pa­rade down Peri­win­kle Way start­ing at 9: 30 a. m., fol­lowed by com­mu­nity pic­nics with free food and bev­er­ages at Bai­ley’s Gen­eral Store and Jerry’s shop­ping cen­ter. Then join is­lan­ders for the noon­time Road Rally, a scav­enger- type hunt through the is­land.
