A Night to Remember
The first Sanibel Community Association gala
Champagne, fun, food and music. The Sanibel Community Association held its first annual “1927 Gala” in January at the Sanibel Community House. The evening was a celebration of both the community and the gathering spot that has served residents and visitors for 90-plus years. Guests dressed in vintage fashions reminiscent of the 1920s and enjoyed the music of the GGHS Titan Jazz Band. The Sanibel Trio also performed. Dinner was provided by SCA chef Jarred Harris and by the Sanibel Catering Company Bailey’s. The auction, featuring items ranging from fine jewelry to vacation getaways, rounded out the evening.
The 1927 Gala is the principal fundraiser for the Sanibel Community Association and the Sanibel Community House, which offers educational, cultural and social programs. It will be held annually on the fourth Friday of January.
