The first Sani­bel Community As­so­ci­a­tion gala

Cham­pagne, fun, food and mu­sic. The Sani­bel Community As­so­ci­a­tion held its first an­nual “1927 Gala” in Jan­uary at the Sani­bel Community House. The evening was a cel­e­bra­tion of both the community and the gath­er­ing spot that has served res­i­dents and vis­i­tors for 90-plus years. Guests dressed in vin­tage fash­ions rem­i­nis­cent of the 1920s and en­joyed the mu­sic of the GGHS Ti­tan Jazz Band. The Sani­bel Trio also per­formed. Din­ner was pro­vided by SCA chef Jarred Har­ris and by the Sani­bel Cater­ing Com­pany Bai­ley’s. The auc­tion, fea­tur­ing items rang­ing from fine jewelry to va­ca­tion get­aways, rounded out the evening.

The 1927 Gala is the prin­ci­pal fundraiser for the Sani­bel Community As­so­ci­a­tion and the Sani­bel Community House, which of­fers ed­u­ca­tional, cul­tural and so­cial pro­grams. It will be held an­nu­ally on the fourth Fri­day of Jan­uary.
