5 Minutes With... Anastasia Casey

CEO OF THE IDENTITÉ COLLECTIVE

-

When you pair inherent good taste with a whipsmart business plan, you get Anastasia Casey. The graphic designer and branding specialist launched The Identité Collective in 2016—a boutique creative studio for interior designers. IDCO offers branding, website design, Instagram management, marketing and more. As the business has grown, so has her community. Anastasia has built a loyal following on Instagram (@theidentitecollective), documenting her own home renovation in Austin, Texas, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the highs and lows of running a small business, and offering support to up-and-coming brands. She’s a positive force in the industry and incredibly kind to boot. You’ll love her.

My light-bulb moment:

When I stopped thinking of hiring as a business expense and recognized that growing a team is a revenue stream.

You’ll never see me without:

Freda Salvador d’Orsay sneakers. I’ve been wearing them for years— they make every out t feel more elevated, keep your feet cool, and look better with age.

I

I have written my to-do list in three different places: my planner, monday.com, and a whiteboard in the of ce.

can’t start my day until: Success is:

Being able to provide more than you receive. Running a team of 20 people was never on my radar but having enough work to hire women who can provide for their families and be creative while staying at home with their children will always be my greatest success.

My must-have beauty product:

Sunday Riley’s C.E.O Glow. I have been using it morning and night on damp skin for almost two years and it has transformed the tone and texture of my skin.

A recent discovery I think everyone should know about:

IDCO’s pre-written client email templates (idco.studio). These save a dozen hours a week—and that adds up fast!

My favorite room in my house:

My bathroom. The light glows in the most attering way. It feels like walking into a cool boutique hotel every morning.

What I’m excited about in 2021:

We just bought a lake house! I am so excited to design the space, renovate it, and enjoy some quality off-screen time.

In five years, find me:

Starting a software company for interior designers that combines their accounting and ordering needs with beautifully designed, done-for-you business processes.

When I feel uninspired:

I rearrange furniture. Sometimes all you need is a fresh

perspective to ignite creativity.

Above all else:

Surround yourself with people smarter than you and trust them entirely.
